MODEL DEVELOPMENT 3 - Massing and Form Model (Scale 1:10)

I sought to further experiment with form and how I could learn new things about my space and later communicate my findings through paper. Above is a short experiment with concentric cutting on paper.

Inspired by this model on Pinterest, I sought to create my own variation of this using my own space to explore form and massing.

I started off with dividing the walls of the model into eighth's.

I folded the paper into a straight line to further accentuate the folds and creases made to make them stronger.

I later cut the form into the paper walls,

and experiment with the shapes I created, with different walls having different curvatures.

Cuts were also made into the paper where it was divided so that they could fit into the model and create a sense of massing
